TS EAMCET Counselling Authority
Post-result counselling for TS EAMCET is conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) through its official web portal at tseamcet.nic.in. TSCHE manages seat allotment across all government, private aided, and private unaided engineering colleges in Telangana. There is no JoSAA, MCC, or CSAB involvement - this is a fully state-level process.
Important: Local area reservation divides Telangana seats into three university zones - Osmania (OU), Jawaharlal Nehru (JNTU), and Kakatiya (KU). Candidates are allotted seats under their respective local area category, so zone selection during registration must match Intermediate study district.
- Registration & Application Fee Payment: Qualified candidates must register on the TSCHE counselling portal. A non-refundable processing fee (approx. ₹1,200 for OC/BC; ₹600 for SC/ST as per 2024 norms) is paid online via SBI Collect or Net Banking. Upload required documents including hall ticket, rank card, Intermediate marks memo, Aadhaar, caste certificate (if applicable), and income certificate.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates attend certificate verification at designated Help Line Centres (HLCs) across Telangana. Certificates are verified physically, and a unique token/ID is generated for online choice filling. This step is mandatory - candidates who skip verification are ineligible for seat allotment.
- Choice Filling & Locking: Using the verified login, candidates enter and prioritise their preferred college-branch combinations. TSCHE typically allows selection of up to 100+ college-branch options. Candidates must lock their choices before the deadline; unlocked choices are auto-locked at the deadline.
- Seat Allotment - Round 1: TSCHE releases the first allotment list based on TS EAMCET rank, category, local area reservation (AU/SVU/OU zones), and choice order. Allotted candidates must pay the tuition fee advance (seat confirmation fee) online and report to the allotted college for provisional admission.
- Seat Allotment - Round 2 (Spot/Sliding): Candidates not satisfied with Round 1 allotments can participate in Round 2. TSCHE also conducts a final Spot Admission Round to fill remaining vacancies, where candidates appear physically at designated centres with original documents.
- Document Verification at College: On reporting to the allotted institution, the college verifies all original documents including TS EAMCET rank card, Intermediate original marks memo, TC (Transfer Certificate), conduct certificate, and category/income certificates where applicable.
- Tuition Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation: After document verification, candidates pay the full tuition fee as per the college's fee structure (government colleges charge as fixed by TSCHE; private colleges charge TSCHE-approved fee). Fee reimbursement (Vidya Devanam scheme) is available for eligible BC/SC/ST candidates with family income below ₹2.5 lakh per annum.
Cutoff
TS EAMCET 2026 Cutoff Scores
TS EAMCET cutoff is the minimum score required by candidates to qualify the examination and become eligible for the next stage of admission. The cutoff is determined by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) based on factors like total number of candidates, difficulty level of the paper, and availability of seats. The exam is conducted for a total of 160 marks. Candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) generally have lower cutoff scores compared to the General category.

Subject-Wise Recommended Books
For Mathematics, refer to Mathematics for EAMCET by Telugu Academy and Intermediate Mathematics by NCERT (Class 11 & 12). For Physics, use Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma (Vol 1 & 2) alongside the Telugu Academy Physics guide. For Chemistry, rely on Physical Chemistry by O.P. Tandon and NCERT Chemistry textbooks, which closely align with the TS EAMCET syllabus.
Prioritise High-Weightage Topics
Mathematics carries 80 marks - the highest weightage in TS EAMCET. Focus heavily on Coordinate Geometry, Calculus (Limits, Derivatives, Integrals), Trigonometry, Algebra (Matrices, Permutations), and Probability. In Physics, prioritise Mechanics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Optics. In Chemistry, concentrate on Organic Chemistry reactions, Chemical Bonding, Equilibrium, and the Periodic Table.
Follow a Structured Study Schedule
Divide your daily 8-10 hour study block as follows: Mathematics - 4 hours, Physics - 2 hours, Chemistry - 2 hours, and revision/practice tests - 1-2 hours. Since TS EAMCET is based on the Telangana State Board (TSBIE) Intermediate syllabus, ensure you have fully covered all Class 11 and Class 12 topics before moving to advanced problem sets.
practice tests Strategy
Begin attempting full-length practice tests at least 6-8 weeks before the exam. Use the official JNTUH TS EAMCET practice tests portal to practise in the exact online CBT interface used in the real exam. Aim to complete the 160-question paper in under 150 minutes, leaving time for review. Analyse every incorrect answer after each practice tests - do not skip the post-test review phase.
Use Previous Year Papers
Solve at least the last 10 years of TS EAMCET question papers (available from 2015 onwards). This helps you identify recurring question patterns, especially in Mathematics where similar problem types appear annually. Previous papers from Sakshi Education and Eenadu Pratibha portals are well-organised for Telangana students.
No Negative Marking - Attempt All Questions
TS EAMCET carries no negative marking, so never leave any question blank. If unsure, eliminate obviously wrong options and make an educated guess. This strategy alone can add 5-10 marks to your final score.
Exam-Day Tips
Carry your TS EAMCET hall ticket (downloaded from eamcet.tsche.ac.in) along with a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, School ID). Report to the exam centre at least 45 minutes before the scheduled time. Rough work sheets are provided at the centre - plan your Mathematics solutions on paper before entering answers. Avoid spending more than 2 minutes on any single question during the first pass.
Online CBT Interface Familiarity
Practise navigating the CBT interface: question palette, mark-for-review feature, and subject-section switching. TS EAMCET allows movement between Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry sections freely within the 180-minute window. Use this strategically by attempting your strongest subject first to build momentum and confidence.
